Terms of Service
A plain-language starting point. Have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer before launch.
1. Who we are
Tailoring Marketplace (“we”, “us”) provides software and services that let independent tailors (“Vendors”) run an online made-to-measure store, and lets customers (“Shoppers”) place orders. These Terms govern your use of the platform.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You’re responsible for activity under your account. Vendors must be legally able to operate a tailoring business in their location.
3. Vendor stores
As a Vendor, you own your brand, your content and your customer relationships. You set your own prices and are responsible for fulfilling orders to a reasonable standard. Stores may be reviewed before going live and may be suspended for policy violations.
4. Orders and fulfilment
A made-to-measure order is a contract between the Vendor and the Shopper. Vendors agree to fulfil accepted orders, communicate honestly about timelines, and handle measurements and garments with care. We coordinate logistics where offered but are not the maker of the garment.
5. Payments and fees
Payments are processed securely through our payment partners. We may charge a commission on completed orders and/or subscription fees as described on our Pricing page. Payouts are settled to your connected account on the stated schedule. Taxes are your responsibility.
6. Acceptable use
Don’t use the platform for anything unlawful, infringing, or harmful. Don’t misrepresent your work, abuse customers, or attempt to disrupt the service. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
7. Intellectual property
You keep ownership of the content you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host and display it so your store can function. The platform itself, including its software and branding, remains ours.
8. Liability
We provide the platform “as is” and work hard to keep it reliable, but we can’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited, and we’re not responsible for disputes between Vendors and Shoppers over a garment.
9. Termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or end accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, you can export your data within a reasonable window.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms; we’ll give reasonable notice of material changes. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
